2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The servants of the Lord must confidently speak the truth, as if there is not an unbelief in the world. To do this they are to be well versed in the Bible, its prophecies, history and principles.

God desires us to shew ourselves “a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness,” Titus 2:7. Our brethren in the world must be helped, and the truth must shine in bold relief in order to vindicate God's character.

Therefore as God's workmen, we are to rightly interpret and apply His word, that the world may come to know the God we love.
